Vocabulary Activities:




  1. Vocabulary Profiles: For each of your vocabulary terms write a short paragraph (3-4 sentences) describing what that term would do if that term was a person. For example: (didactic: adj. excessively instructive)" Didactic talks way too much. She always tells everyone how to do everything, even when they already know how to do it. One day Didactic told the teacher how to do something and ended up cleaning the chalkboards all afternoon."
  2. Sentences: For each of your vocabulary terms write a good contextual sentence.
  3. Story: Using each of your terms in its own sentence, write a good short story of at least ten sentences that uses each of your terms both correctly and contextually.
  4. Word Pictures: They say a picture is worth a thousand words. For each of your terms find a picture to match its definition and paste it together with term.
  5. RootSearch: For each of this weeks roots, find at least two other words for that root. Put the roots and the new terms into a table on your page.
  6. Crossword: Create a crossword puzzle using all of your terms and their definitions.
